Highland Square | Denver Neighborhood Guide
On of our Highland Square Listings
Nestled just northwest of downtown Denver, West Highland is a picturesque haven for its fortunate residents, and a captivating dining and shopping destination for all. Bounded by Sheridan to the west, Federal to the east, 38th Avenue to the north, and 29th Avenue to the south, West Highland stands as the beating heart of the Highlands, steeped in history and currently enjoying a robust renaissance as one of Denver's hottest neighborhoods.
As you traverse West Highland's tree-lined streets, you're greeted by a diverse array of architectural gems—artful Bungalows, elegant Victorians, charming Denver Squares, Classic Cottages, and modern constructions blend together to create a dynamic neighborhood. The pulse of life in West Highland is set by its friendly neighbors and a laid-back pace that locals cherish.
Dating back to 1885, the amalgamation of East Highland and Highland Park gave rise to the Town of Highlands, a haven promoted as a quieter, cleaner, and safer alternative to Denver's bustling city life. The original trolley stops, once vital to local businesses, have left an indelible mark on the neighborhood. Notably, the stop at 32nd Avenue and Lowell Boulevard birthed Highlands Square, now the epicenter of West Highland's charm.
